Brthday Wishes

Hi folks, how are you all? I can't believe it is June already, mind you, you would never guess with this weather.

We've been away for a couple of days to York, as always we had a lovely time, lots of walking round the shops, lots of yummy food and maybe a few pints of craft beers too.

We had a lovely morning visiting Goddards, which is a National Trust property that was once the home of the Terry family who owned and ran the chocolate factory. It is such a beautiful place, full of items about the factory and the family and also if you walk to the bottom of the garden there's a gate that leads onto the race course. Mr Terry used this gate when he walked to work to the factory, which was & still is at the other side of the race course. Although sadly no longer Terry's of York, as it closed down in 2005. They are turning some of it into apartments, so at least the lovely old building is still going to be used.
