Simply Sassy Banner Challenge

Hi Folks, hope you are all having a lovely day, especially those lucky enough to have the day off. Although I have'nt watched all of the celebrations, I had to check out Kate's dress. She looked so beautiful and William looked amazing too.

I've spent most of the morning playing in my craft room.

I thought I'd make a card to enter into the amazing challenge over at Simply Sassy  which is to make a card with a Simply Sassy cutie on, with the chance to have your Simply Sassy image, displayed on their blog header  for two months. What a wonderful prize!

I made an easel card ( how difficult are these to photograph?) as I was itching to use my new fancy tags 2 dies and thought it would make a good stopper.

I used: Bed Time Snuggles
Basic Grey papers
Promarkers, Derwent pencils and Sansador
McGill & By Avec punches
LOTV sentiment
Old Paper Distress Ink
Cosmic Twinkles
Ribbon, flowers and charm from stash

I think I might just have to spend another few hours playing as Hubby is at work, he works for the blood service and today he is delivering blood to hospitals. Will make sure I do him a yummy tea later.

Before I go I have a couple of bits of good news, I came top 3 over at I Love Promarkers Thank You again Karen & the team.

Also, I've been covering the Cook/Supervisor role at work since October, well I've now been given the position permanently. I'm over the moon !

Sketch Saturday 152

If you're here for the Sunday Sketch and Stamp blog hop and blog candy it's HERE

Hi Folks, hope you are all happy and had a really lovely Easter weekend. Can't believe it's back to work tomorrow, where has the time gone? Oh! well another long weekend around the corner. :o)

I've made this one using a fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday and I'm entering this into their challenge.
I used one of the very cute images from Pollycraft He's called, I'm not tired, how adorable?

I told you we'd been doing the decking and the bottom half of the back garden, well, it's finished. Thank Goodness.

We had a family BBQ for tea yesterday, it was so lovely, we had a great time. Little Bradley was helping me water the plants and somehow we all ended up soaking wet. (Note to self: don't put a 3 year old in charge of a hose pipe.) I really did laugh though, watching his Mummy and Uncle Kyle running away and hiding in the shed.

Off to iron my uniform, will catch you all later. :o)

Remember the tooth that has been giving me all the pain and costing a fortune in anti-biotics, well I've had it pulled this afternoon. Wowsers! it was a big'un. I feel ok at the mo' as it's still very numb but I could really do with a coffee. No hot drinks for a few hours. :o(

The gardens nearly finished too, one more coat of decking paint to do. Thank Goodness, spent 10 hours out there yesterday. I ache everywhere today, don't know how people do it for a living.

Had an lovely day

Good evening everyone, we had a really great day today at Skipton. We went in the castle and although Bradley was a bit dubious as it was dark in places, he loved it. We also went on the canal barge and fed the ducky wacks. We even managed a little visit to Kanban, where I got some fab stamps and a box of lovely card & paper, so a good day all round. :o)

No card tonight, so thought I'd show you a pic of my little munchkin & his Mummy on the barge.

My luck seems to be holding too, as I've had another lovely win over at Totally Papercrafts
Thank You so much  to the lovely DT, I'm really chuffed.

Crafty Cardmakers Spotlight

Over at Crafty Cardmakers Spotlight we have a fab new challenge for you this fortnight. Make a card for a teenage boy.

I always used to shy away from male cards especially teenagers  but I've found the more you make the easier they are.

I used a gorgeous Someoddgirl digi image that was a freebie a while back. How cute is he? The papers are DCWV. I've coloured this little dude in with Promarkers, Derwent pencils & Sansador. I used Spellbinders Labels 11, which I extented as it wasn't quite long enough. The letters are from a Sizzix alphabet die set and I then embossed them. The border has been punched with a Martha Stewart punch and a strip of DCWV paper layered over the top. I then added a couple of stars cut with Spellbinders Stars Nesties, a stamped Birthday and a brad from my stash.

Our prize for this is a set of 4 American Crafts Mini Marks rub ons which are...

Jack Jr (blue)
Jack Jr Sidekicks (blue)
Frank (white)
Frank Sidekicks (white)

These include handy rub on letters, numbers, phrases and accents useful for cardmaking, scrapbooking and journalling.

We would love you to join us for this one and whilst you're over there check out my lovely teamies amazing creations.
