Phew!!!

Hi folks, how are you all? Hope you are all happy and well. :o)

I've really missed catching up with you all over the last few days. I've really been chasing my tail, what with work and housework and stuff. At least it's the hols now so I will hopefully have lots of time to craft and blog.

We had a lovely evening on Friday at my Mother-in-law's 70th birthday bash, had a very late night too, so spent yesterday very tired. We had Bradley over last night to sleep so his Mummy could decorate his bedroom and we all had a fab time.

Been out and about this morning shopping so the first chance I had, I crept into the craftroom.

I decided to make a Christmas card as I had all my Christmas stash out from doing a few DT cards.

I used one of the new LOTV Christmas stamps, they are all so cute.

Rightyoh! I'm off to see my Mum, will be back later.

My Happier Place

Good evening folks, how are you all? hope you are all ok and enjoying a relaxing evening.

I've not been around much this week as I've been really busy at work and been unpacking my stuff into my new craft room. I'm really pleased with it, as it's a bit bigger and my hubby has also put his computer and stuff in there. Which means I won't feel as guilty spending time crafting whilst he is sat on his own, as he'll be in there too, doing his stuff, although I will be in charge of the remote for the telly. Hehe!

Here's my first card made in there.

I've used a very cute stamp from Red Gingham Designs available at Little ClaireDesigns.

Red Gingham Designs are a wonderful new stamp range which include some fab circle sentiments and some gorgeous new Christmas designs which are available very soon.

One if which is Little George, that I have used here, although I've coloured  George in pink, aww! just a little cutie as a boy or girl.

I followed a sketch over at Sketch Saturday

Before I go I have some exciting news to share with you, I have had one of my cards published. Woohoo! I'm chuffed to bits.

A couple of months ago Gill at Little Claire's asked me to design a card with a step by step to put in the Best of British cardmaking book. Well it's in this issue, I am just thrilled to bits. :o)

Rightyoh! enough twaddle from me, I'm off to catch up with you all.

Red Gingham

Hi Folks, hope you are all happy and well. Wednesday already, can't believe it.

I've been having a fab few days in the craft room, prepping for the demo's at the weekend.

Thought I'd show you a couple of cards made using some really fab sentiment stamps.

Little Claire's have launched a brand new range, called Red Gingham, which is exclusive to Little Claire's and the first two stamp sets are Sentiment's mix and Christmas text. There are some more lovely designs to come.

I made these two using the Christmas Text set. A really gorgeous set of sentiments, something for everyone.

Crafty Cardmakers #50 One Layer Card

Good afternoon everyone, how you all doing? Hope you're all happy and well.

My lovely friend and very talented teamie Lisa has set a really fab challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

Which is to make a one layer card.  My first reaction was.... Help! I don't know what to do... those of you who visit me know I like to chuck loads of fussiness on my cards. But I had a go and although I know  it's not great, I am quite pleased with it.

Although this is not my usual card style, I really enjoyed it. I inked the edges with Spun Sugar and Dusty Concord. I then stamped a Kanban image in the left hand corner and over stamped a LOTV sentiment. I just could'nt resist adding a couple of tiny black gems in the top right hand corner. This is something I will definately be trying again.

So Thank You  Lisa for setting us a really great challenge.  I hope you will all join us and also check out my teamies wonderful creations.

Also, I had a little surprise on Saturday, I came top 3 at A Gem of a Challenge. Thank you Janet, Lisa and the lovely DT, I'm chuffed to bits.

I've had a fab day with hubby, did some crafting early doors, while he had a little lie in, then we headed off to Barnsley for a spot of shopping. It includes:
  • 2 sentiments
  • a butterfly tree

Find out more at Little Claire's.

I'm just sat watching my 2 cats, fast asleep, stretched out on the window ledge in the sun, it must be a hard life. Could do with a snoozy myself, but have speed cleaning to do, I'm getting so good at it. The carrot on the end of the stick is actually a promarker though. :o)
