Sorry, I have'nt been around

Good evening folks, sorry I have'nt been around during the last week, I have been contemplating whether to put on my blog why, but as I know you are all such lovely people, who I consider as friends, I feel very able to share my sad news with you. My brother Ian  passed away last Wednesday. He was only 19 and fought very hard in his battle against Leukemia. Although we were told to expect the worse, it still came as a shock when we found out.

I have been really down since then and Hubby and my Kids have been amazing. I spent yesterday afternoon in my craft room as Hubby thought it might help and yes, it did.  You hear people say that crafting helps to get you through the bad times and I can agree with this, as it did take my mind off things. Today, we have been to Lincoln  in the pouring rain with our daughter Sam and grandson Bradley and it was just what I needed. My little grandson really cheered me up, although bless him he did'nt realise that he was doing so, he was just being his usual happy little self.

Thought I'd show you a couple of cards I made a couple of weeks ago using Little Claire's Good Things, Wheelbarrow.

I'm going try and catch up with you all over the next day or so. Hope you are all well.

Big Hugs.

Hi Donna, I was thinking earlier that you hadn't posted recently and was wondering if you were okay. I am so sorry to hear about your brother ... I know you were told to expect the worst but it never makes it any easier when it happens. It is natural to feel down when something likes this happens but glad to hear crafting helped to keep your mind off it and of course your gorgeous little grandson.

Yours cards are lovely! Such a fab image and isn't it great how you can make 2 completely different cards using the same image.

Thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

Love & Hugs

Hi Donna, I was beginning to get a tad worried about you 'cos you hadn't posted for a few days & now I know the sad reason why. There is nothing I can say that will make you feel any better but I will say that I have lost 3 members of the family in the past few years so I can understand some of your pain. Do what ever it takes to get you through this sad time & when ever you think about your brother always remember the good times.

So sorry to hear your sad news. I understand what a difficult time this will be for you all, as I lost my son when he was 26. If I can be of any help to you at all at any time, please do not hesitate to ask.

Your cards are beautiful. Grandchildren are a blessing.
(when you can, please let me have your email address again as I lost them all during my pc issues at the weekend)

Dear Donna - I am so very sorry to hear such sad news. It's only a couple of months since my sister died, so I can understand your grief and pain. Sending you love and hugs. You and your family are in my prayers.

The support from your family and friends will help you through this. And crafting does, in its own way, help a lot.

Both the cards you've shared today are beautiful - but yours are always lovely.

Take care, Deborah xx

I'm so very sorry Donna - you must all be devastated. I wish there was something I could say to be of comfort to you.

Grief is so personal, so I won't say I know how you feel.

These words really stuck with me through a difficult time.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Your cards are, as ever, fantastic. Jxx
