Try something new for 2017

Good morning folks, hope you are all happy and well. How is your weekend going so far? After having a lovely drive out to Buxton & Leek yesterday, I'm busy catching up on housework & washing today. The kids are here for tea later so going to make a spaghetti bolognaise, you never know I might manage a crafty half an hour in the craftroom too.

I have my Crafters Companion The Inspirers make to share with you all and today it is something totally different from me.

We were all asked to try a new craft for 2017, so off I popped to the website to have a look what I fancied doing. Now I knew that Crafters Companion stocked oodles of goodies for lots of different crafts but I was so surprised how much there was to choose from. I was there quite a while looking at it all.

Being an owl fan I spotted the perfect thing for me. So I ordered the wonderful Debbie Shore Owl Applique Dies  and some gorgeous Threaders Felt and got cracking. I had a lovely couple of hours cutting it all out and hand stitching it all.

So here he is.... hope you like him. This definately won't be my last sewing make, I have already ordered some more goodies to play with.

    Well done, I bught a owl felt die at Peterborough and love making them. I use blanket stitch on the edges, prefer it to back stitch or running stitch, takes longer but worth it.
